We arrived at this charming Alpine style town around 6.00pm and chose a site at the Glacier Camper Van Campground and then went for a 1 ½ hr. hike up to the bottom of the glacier. It’s cold now and there are lots of Germans, Swiss and Austrians looking at home here in their shorts and hiking boots. Actually we have seen a lot of young German girls here-hiking in small groups or even by themselves (some even backpacking/overnight camping) and the females seem to be outnumbering the males two to one. We don’t know why and even have asked but no answer yet.
