Thailand is good, we quite liked the places we visited but it didn’t excite us. We are left with the feeling that we just didn’t connect with the places we visited and we’ll give it all another shot if we can at some point. I have visited Thailand several times on business but that was twenty years ago. This visit was planned to take us to the tourist areas (not a focus of this overall 8 month trip but it’s Xmas and Sarah is with us and we have planned this as a beach break from our travels), and the beaches etc. were good. However, next time we would like to get away from the tourist areas and perhaps get up north. Thailand is modestly priced against the US$ but not as cheap as we were told to expect by some people. Perhaps the US$ has weakened and/or prices have increased. Photos are more from Koh Phi Phi.
