We ferry to Phuket again and then fly to Bangkok and stay at the Bangkok Federal Hotel Soi 11 Bangkok (room 286). $55/3 people. It’s pretty good.
We use the excellent Metro to move around and we use that to get to the river and catch the ferry boats to the Temple of the Reclining Buddha.
We visited the large open air market and then we find a good restaurant near our hotel and the local youth hostel. Bangkok is worth a visit and there is more to see than we managed to get to.
