Pronounced "Amer" and it's size is impressive but not it's architectural detail. You have to approach it with some understanding of the history to make sense of it and to find it interesting. Again, with our 8 month trip, we didn't have time to do all the pre-reading that a single destination holiday would allow and so we often feel ill-prepared but we are learning as we go and enjoying that and have surprised ourselves with the interest that each place has inspired in each of us. I hope that we will keep our current intent to read more about each place once we have returned home.
